Kamore Development Welfare Organization (KDWO) is a social welfare, non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization. KDWO was registered in 2001 under Social Welfare Ordinance 1961 with the social welfare department Khyber Pakhtoon Khwa and also registered with FATA Social Welfare Directorate FATA Secretariat.
KAMORE supports promotion of concepts such as gender balance, role of women and their rights, peace, health, female education and other such important issues that contribute to wider goals of national development and is proactively involved in protection issues confronted by the target community. Its expertise also encompasses areas such as education, relief items distribution, rehabilitation, protection, health, sanitation, child rights, WASH micro-finance and other sectors that contribute to poverty alleviation and socio-economic development of the proletariat. The organization is doing its utmost efforts to eradicate poppy cultivation by educating the people about its hazards in addition to creating awareness among the community groups about their rights as well as of duties.
KAMORE works to provide the basic life services to the community irrespective of their caste, colour, creed, sect and religion. The aim of the organization is to provide relief to the vulnerable people up to the maximum possible extent within the limited available resources-by way of inducing and promoting “self –help basis" concept among the community masses the Participatory approach.
KAMORE believes in active community participation and endeavours to involve local community in all its interventions. KAMORE is recognized at local level (FATA) due to outstanding services to the people. KAMORE has set new standards of community involvement in the identification of the problems, proposing their solutions, baking best-suited plans as per local requirements and successful execution of these plans. At all these stages consultation with community and their physical participation is ensured to achieve the best results. In turn, community has also given its full support in terms of time, materials, finances, land and moral support.
